$1.2 Million Verdict in GBMC Medical Malpractice Case

A jury awarded $1.2 million to Andrea Faulcon after finding that Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) and its colorectal surgeon were negligent in the death of her mother, Angela Faulcon, during a routine colorectal surgery. The hospital lacked the equipment needed to control severe bleeding that arose during the procedure, and Mrs. Faulcon went into cardiac arrest and died on the operating table. $825,646 Verdict Against Capital Women’s Care and Dr. Bouchelion

A Montgomery County jury awarded Marcelle Dasilva $825,646 after finding that her OB-GYN, Dr. Ashleigh Bouchelion, caused a bladder injury during an emergency cesarean section. The injury required a second surgery to repair and left Ms. Dasilva with permanent urinary dysfunction.
